Benefits Package (all employees) As a New York State (NYS) affiliated hospital our employees enjoy many of the benefits of being NYS employees

  • Choice of all major medical plans, you pay 15% of coverage pre tax until 5 years of employment then get free medical benefits for the rest of your life
  • 3% of salary goes towards pension plan for 5 years after which you get 1 3/4% x years you worked at NUMC x your base salary as pension at 20 years you get 2% x number years x base salary per year for the rest of your life (works out to 40%
  • 457 tax deferred retirement plan
  • Sick Day Bank- you accrue 1/2 sickdays per pay period after six months employment for a total of 90 sick days maximum
  • Personal Day Bank you accrue 1/2 personal days per pay period after six months employment for a maximum of 180 days
